Minda Huang is a licensed lawyer in China and is licensed to practice law in California and New York. Prior to joining TsingLaw, he worked with top law firms in Beijing, Shanghai, and New York.
Mr. Huang has extensive experience representing Chinese businesses and entrepreneurs in setting up corporate governance frameworks, structuring tax arrangements, addressing U.S. government investigations, and managing cross-border litigation and arbitration cases. He is able to provide U.S. legal services to clients in China with no time zone differences.
Mr. Huang is particularly experienced in navigating legal and compliance issues in intricate geopolitical environments. For instance, Mr. Huang has provided cross-border legal services in investment and financing to sensitive entities within the advanced semiconductor industry. Mr. Huang has handled complex litigation for red-chip companies based in the Cayman Islands, with jurisdictions across China, the U.S., the Cayman Islands, and the British Virgin Islands. Moreover, he has represented Chinese companies in dealing with aggressive enforcement actions by the Indian government and has recently assisted companies in addressing compliance issues arising from discriminatory legislation in Texas, U.S.
Beyond his legal expertise, Mr. Huang has a keen interest in the political challenges that Chinese companies face in the U.S. He has extensively analyzed and written on the U.S. political and legal landscape, especially regarding targeted legislation and enforcement against Chinese-affiliated companies like TikTok. His insights have been featured in media outlets, including Huxiu.
Mr. Huang has also contributed articles to prestigious legal publications such as Law 360 and has served as a judge for national moot court competitions in the U.S.
Education
Mr. Minda Huang earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from Tsinghua University and later obtained his Master of Laws degree from Harvard University.
