Practice Areas and Experience
Since Mr. GAO starting his practice, he has focused on intellectual property and civil & commercial litigation and arbitration.
He has handled the legal affairs of many famous domestic and multinational corporations in China, including trademarks, copyrights (including music, film, short videos, and online games), patents, anti-unfair competition (including trade secrets and abuse of intellectual property rights), various types of intellectual property rights contracts, import/export transfers of technology, artist contracts, and disputes regarding film and television projects, etc. The case Jindie regarding the abuse of IP rights and the Huarun trademark and unfair competition case represented by him were selected as the annual typical intellectual property cases by the Supreme People's Court in 2021.

Academic Achievements
In 2023, he published an article on a well-known IP media IP House: From the “Champagne case” and “Cognac case” to observe the expansion of the GI rights’ scope of protection.
In 2023, he gave a lecture on the topic of The Research on Legal Issues of Cross-border Transactions in the Online Game Industry to the graduate students of the Intellectual Property School of SWUPL;
In 2022, he wrote The Judicial Regulation of Trademark Malicious Litigation: The Perspective of the U.S. Law, published in Peking University Intellectual Property Review;
In 2022, he wrote The Research Report on Trademark Right Protection in Wholesale and Retail Businesses in U.S. Practice, published on the official website of the Beijing Trademark Association;
In 2018, he wrote The Research on the Comparison Methods of Online Game Copyright Infringement - Taking the U.S. Law as a Perspective, published on CNKI;
In 2017, he participated in the translation of the book Failing Law Schools under the guidance of Prof. Jie QIN, and the book was published by Legal Press China;
In 2017, he wrote English review articles Observing the Current Situation of Copyright Protection in China from the Successful Organization of the Sixth China International Copyright Expo and China's Sword Net Campaign and Digital Copyright Protection, which were published on the blog of the Law School of the University of Szeged.
