Attorney Yunyang ZHU is well versed in the theory and practice of civil and commercial law in the fields of data, corporate securities, finance, etc., and has long been based on practical affairs and academic pursuits. She serves as a regular legal advisor to a number of enterprises and also works as an independent director and an external supervisor. Moreover, attorney ZHU boasts rich experience in providing customized legal services in various industries and possesses the professional ability to furnish clients with full-case risk management and control measures as well as dispute resolution. Meanwhile, she specializes in providing full-process legal services from corporate structure design, product model design, and business operation to crisis management.

Attorney ZHU is also a director of the China Law Society Cyber and Information Law Society, a director of the China Commercial Law Society, a director of the Institute of Securities of CLS, a director of the Marriage and Family Law Association of CLS, a director of the China Business Law Society, a director of the Corporate Governance Research Sub-Society of the China Behavior Law Association, a part-time researcher of the Institute for Studies on Artificial Intelligence and Law Tsinghua University, an executive director of the Beijing Municipality’s Legal Society of Consumers’ Rights and Interests Protection, a director of the Beijing Society of Economic Law, a director of the Beijing Credit Association, and a director of the Beijing E-commerce Law Research Association. She was an associate professor, master’s tutor, and member of the Professors’ Committee of the Law School of Minzu University of China.
Academic Achievements
Attorney ZHU has presided over a number of projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation, a special support project of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, a sub-project of a key commissioned project of the China Law Society, a research project on the innovative development of China’s gaming industry, a project funded by the Beijing Social Science, a project funded by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and China Association for Public Companies (CAPCO), a project funded by the People’s Bank of China and China Finance 40 Forum, a project funded by the Ministry of Education and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and a joint research program by Shanghai Stock Exchange. In 2020, she was selected as one of the Young Talents of the China Law Society. In addition, attorney ZHU has published nearly 30 articles in core journals and newspapers, including Global Law Review, Tsinghua University Law Journal, Modern Law Science, Journal of Nanjing University (Social Sciences), Journal of Social Sciences, Civil and Commercial Law Review, People’s Daily (Theory Edition) and China Securities Journal, as well as monographs including Shareholder Derivative Litigation in the Interaction between Globalization and Localization and International Comparative Study on Personal Information Protection (co-author).
Education
Attorney ZHU graduated from the School of Law, Tsinghua University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, a Master’s Degree in Civil and Commercial Law, and a Doctorate Degree in Law. She was a Visiting Scholar at the Center for East Asian Legal Studies of Harvard University during the academic year of 2010-2011 (State-Sponsored).
