Tsinglaw NY LLP is seeking an attorney to provide legal services and support for APAC market development.

Responsibilities include:

1. Advising APAC clients on their U.S.-based legal needs related to investment, business formation, and regulatory compliance.

2. Advising U.S. clients on their APAC-based legal needs related to investment into APAC.

3. Conducting legal research on U.S. law and APAC local law to support client needs in areas such as cross-border transactions, corporate law, and investment strategies.

4. Drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and correspondence related to U.S. business activities.

5. Communicating with clients for purposes of clarification, explanation of legal processes, and client

support.

6. Assisting with client development by supporting efforts to maintain existing client relationships and identifying potential legal service needs within APAC markets.

7. Reporting to the Managing Partner and providing periodic updates on client matters and ongoing cases.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 18-month progressive experience in U.S. law firms, involving legal research, drafting legal documents, advising clients, and supporting cross-border business and compliance matters.

2. JD or LLM degree

3. Admitted to practice law in the State of New York

4. Admitted to practice law in either of the following APAC countries: China, Japan, and South Korea

Travel to APAC countries including China, Japan, and South Korea, approximately once per year.

Salary: $153,254/yr
