Attorney Junyu WANG possesses over a decade of expertise in corporate compliance governance. During his tenure at Huawei, he was honored with the First Prize of the “President’s Award” from the Legal Department of Huawei Group for his exemplary contributions to compliance initiatives. He successfully led the resolution of international tax and customs disputes for Huawei’s subsidiaries, which resulted in receiving the Huawei Group’s company-level president’s commendation and the designation of “Gold Medal Individual.” Transitioning to full-time legal practice, Attorney WANG spearheaded a team dedicated to the development of comprehensive compliance management systems for several large state-owned corporate groups. He also provided consulting services concerning U.S. export controls and sanctions to various central enterprises. Currently, Attorney WANG serves as legal counsel for multiple large corporate groups, bringing extensive experience in corporate governance compliance and legal strategies for urgent and complex incidents.
Attorney WANG has significant expertise in civil and commercial dispute resolution, with a focus on managing substantial and intricate litigation and arbitration cases. His profound understanding of and successful practice in the various stages of civil and commercial disputes has led to favorable outcomes and positive social impacts for major cases involving prominent enterprises and financial institutions in China, thereby earning the trust of his clients.
Attorney WANG has obtained the TEM-8 certificate and has been actively engaged in international legal services, accumulating extensive practical experience in foreign investment, international trade, overseas compliance operations, and cross-border dispute resolution. Over the years, he has built a wealth of successful project experiences and established reliable local partnerships across regions including Europe, North America, Australia, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

Attorney Junyu WANG, a representative at the 9th Tianjin Lawyers’ Representative Conference, serves as the director of the Foreign-related Legal Services Professional Committee of the Tianjin Lawyers Association, and is a social mentor at Nankai University, in addition to being the executive president of the Nankai Foreign Language Alumni Association.
In 2023, he was recognized as an outstanding Communist Party member by the Tianjin Binhai New Area and Development Zone’s two new party committees, an excellent Communist Party member in the lawyer industry of the Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone in 2020, a “Rising Star” lawyer in the corporate commercial sector in the Tianjin region by Chambers & Partners. He was also awarded the title of “Best Rising Star of the Year” by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR1000) in 2022, and as a “Rising Star” lawyer in the financial sector by Legal Vision.

Attorney Junyu WANG holds a “Senior Corporate Compliance Specialist” certificate issued by the China General Chamber of Commerce and is one of the initiators and mentor trainers of the “State-owned Enterprise Compliance Management Specialist Training” program by the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC). Additionally, he serves as the deputy editor of State-owned Enterprise Compliance Management Specialist: Theory and Practice and is a member of the drafting group for the State-owned Enterprise Compliance Management System standard.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Nankai University School of Foreign Studies and a master’s degree in Law from the School of Law, Tsinghua University.
