Practice Areas and Experience
Since 2015, Rick has more than ten years’ experience in civil and commercial dispute resolution and more than seven years’ experience as a member of administrator in bankruptcy cases or liquidation group in compulsory liquidation cases. Rick has been responsible for or involved in many large and medium-sized bankruptcy reorganization or liquidation cases in the PRC or the first of such cases in certain regions. During his service as bankruptcy administrators, Rick also represented bankrupt enterprises in a large number of bankruptcy derivative lawsuits, enforcement cases, and enforcement objection and reconsideration cases.
In addition to acting as the person-in-charge or a member of administrator in bankruptcy cases or liquidation team in compulsory liquidation cases, Rick often represents domestic and overseas creditors in domestic bankruptcy proceedings and provides PRC legal advice to a number of ad-hoc groups of holders of USD notes or bonds in offshore debt restructuring of relevant issuers or guarantors.
Rick also advises debtors on their debt restructuring, assists offshore liquidators in investigating, managing and disposing of various onshore assets, and represents offshore wound-up companies or their subsidiaries in onshore litigations or arbitrations. Besides, Rick assists industrial or financial investors in due diligence on reorganization investment and formulating investment plans and provides perennial legal consulting services to asset management companies, trust companies and special asset management departments of other financial institutions like securities companies and etc.
Before joining TsingLaw in 2024, Rick worked as a Counsel in the Dispute Resolution Department (including the bankruptcy team) of Fangda Partners.

Rick once served as the Secretary of the 11th Bankruptcy and Non-performing Assets Committee of Shanghai Bar Association (the “Committee”) and currently serves as one of the 12th Committee Staff Members.
Rick is listed as one of the Individual Probationary Members (3rd Batch) of Shanghai Bankruptcy Administrators Association (SBAA) and one of the Members of the 3rd Council of the Alumni Association of Shanghai Foreign Language School Affiliated to SISU (SFLSAA).

Education
Rick received both his degrees of LL.B. (International Class, a.k.a. International Legal Talent Program) and LL.M. (International Law) from School of Law, Tsinghua University. During his postgraduate studies, Rick also completed the International Arbitration and Dispute Settlement (IADS) Course.
